3 Names from KHAS among the World’s Most Influential Scientists

A database study conducted by a group of researchers from Stanford University revealed the list of the Most Influential Scientists in the World. The list, published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based publishing company specializing in scientific, technical, and medical content, was listed in two categories as “Career-Long Impact” for 1996-2020 and “Annual Impact” for 2020. In creating the list, international criteria such as total number of citations, number of patents, h-index, hm-index, number of articles, and number of qualified publications were used.

The list includes more than 190 thousand scientists worldwide, working in more than 20 scientific fields and 170 sub-fields. Prof. Dr. Nihat Berker, the Dean of KHAS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences; Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak, the Dean of KHAS Faculty of Communication; and Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. Önder Pekcan of KHAS Molecular Biology and Genetics Department took place in the “Career-Long Impact” list.
